Most of the themes come from the reconstruction of small things in life. Let the viewer re-examine the objects in daily life. She has made the memory and experience of ordinary objects a work of art and a dialogue with the surrounding environment. She uses the most succinct way to express the unclear narrative relationship between people and things and the poetry in everyday life.
Liu focus on some meaningless behaviours and constantly question the functionality of objects. Along with it, the creativity of the work lay in the sounds, and the smells and the sight incorporated into space to evoke audience’s multisensory awareness in the hope of art objects to evoke public’s meditation to the environment.
Her recent work explores the existence and disappearance of landscapes. It is a small attempt to resist the natural. The work changes the landscape only leaving the image as evidence. The changes here disappeared afterwards and returned to their original appearance. Her work is concerned with the variety of expressions, but all about one issue—how do we feel about the world?
