HELEN DEAR

Helen’s practise is driven by a reiterative approach to her work. She takes a playful attitude with a wide range of inspirations and materials, developing multiple samples which form the basis of her expanded final presentation. She works in an intuitive state enjoying a high level of experimentation, seeking serendipitous outcomes.

Helen’s multi-disciplinary practise considers societal relationships with, and attitude towards, sleep, as well as the language we use to describe our tiredness. Working across a variety of media, and allowing the original central concept to dictate the discipline, Helen’s work often transforms from 2D to 3D and is not limited to any one art form.
